Ichthus Club

ICHTHUS is a Greek word that means “fish.” It became a symbol of the Christian during the Roman Empire. The word ICHTHUS comes from the Greek words that mean “Jesus Christ, God’s Son, Savior.” Since Jesus is the fisher of men, the fish became the symbol of the Christian.

Mark 12:30 tells us that our highest priority is to love God, and thus we study who God is and how we can show our love to Him in practical ways. These practical ways will manifest themselves as we seek God’s answers to life as well as assisting others to live for Christ. As the young people learn to do these things, they will find a greater purpose in life (Gal. 5:22-23).

(For a safe environment, we have done background checks on all our personnel, and we also have safety measures in place.)

A youth seminar for all teens (Grades 7-12) will be held on March 14 & 15, 2008. The title of this year’s youth seminar is “Basic Training ‘08. Defend and Serve”. The seminar will be centered around the Biblical passage, I Peter 3:13-17 “And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. ‘And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.’ But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.”

Along with a main speaker, various workshops will be conducted featuring the following topics:
